The EP that completed 12 months of writing.
The final collection of songs that I'd been writing as part of the project.
Many ideas conceived whilst driving backward and forwards between Dorset and Somerset in order to visit the person who had inspired so much of what I'd accomplished.
These songs came together during another intense writing period and really pulled the project to a close.
I feel there's a sense of uplift to this EP and it felt good to leave it on that note.

Track Listing
1 - NMN
Written, recorded and mixed within a day (including travelling between Weymouth and Glastonbury) after someone got my name wrong in a conversation.

2 - Frozen Dreams
Taken from the intro to an old Exit 24 song I rewrote when I joined them (just in time to record URF-Y-ER).
I kept the guitar intro (heard in the outro) and wrote a new melody and developed the textures from there.

3 - Drained
Initially coming from trying to work out something “Synthy” and creating the tapping motif.
The melody with it’s odd accents and timing came quickly but I felt like something was missing for a long time.
It wasn’t until I added the percussive slap/pop part that it all came together.

4 - Fake It
Taken from the verse of a Skinflower song.
Having altered the melody slightly, I changed it up to the tapped harmonics to create a more ethereal sound.

5 - Wooden Core
My grandfather was a a carpenter and I’ve always appreciated the beauty of wood.
I had a ring with a wooden core. My guitar is wooden.
Wood is still at the core of much of what I do.

6 - Uplifted
The initial riff developed from a jam at an open mic night.
Once I had it in the looper, it all developed from there.
It just felt like a positive vibe and felt a good way to close the initial 3 releases.
