The EP that made things possible.
Predominantly written and recorded during a particularly unpleasant period of tinnitus, but when positivity seemed to surround everything and act as a nice counterbalance.
After the initial burst of writing as I worked through the constraints of playing within a loop, life outside of music started to take a massive turn upwards. New risks, new opportunities and new situations.

Track Listing
1 - Faith In The Middle
When in the middle of turbulence, it's often only faith that will keep us going

2 - Heartbeats In 3
As a family of 3, it seemed natural to write something in 3/4 to symbolise this grouping.

3 - Small Steps
As with anything new, small steps and patience are required.

4 - Tangled
I could not get this to work in it’s original 4/4 timing. My fingers just couldn’t get the riff clean.
A simple change of time signature and my hands were no longer tangled up.

5 - Wasting Time
Taken from an old song I wrote and played in HED and then Skinflower.
The chords and melody are from the chorus and were super fun to translate onto a bass and add in the additional extensions with the looper.

6 - The Other Side
Another old song that had never been completed.
Change the instrument and get it into a looper and something good develops.
I felt that reflected in the title…”Good things are just the other side of the struggle”.
